Have you ever walked into a room and felt inspired by its cohesiveness?   A good room always feels grounded with this feeling of put-togetherness.   One easy way to achieve this is through establishing motifs.

A motif is a small element repeated throughout a room.   When this element is effectively and subtly interwoven throughout various places, the motif is the thread that connects each piece to each other, giving your space that central grounded theme.

Your motif can be a print, like chevron, or graphic you particularly like.   It can be a texture or a material.   It can be a color that compliments your existing scheme.   Whatever you choose, be intentional about your choice and creative in implementation.
